Neymar: "Playing with Rooney at Barcelona would be a dream"

Neymar da Silva has declared himself a Wayne Rooney fan, and has said that he'd love to play alongside the as yet United forward. Could this come about at Barcelona? "He could without doubt improve any club in Europe. On a personal level, it would be a dream come true for me to play alongside him", confessed the Brazilian starlet, hours before the Confederations Cup final.

"We've met a few times and he seems like a nice guy. He's one of the players who I most like in the world. He's one of the most talented and most technically gifted", said Neymar. According to the Brazilian magician, there is always a place at Barça for the best players: "We are the perfect club for him".

Wayne Rooney is one of the most prestigious players up for grabs in the summer transfer window. He's grown tired of Manchester United, and has said as much to David Moyes, his new manager, whom he will be sitting down with this coming week to talk things out.

The general feeling in England is that a healthy salary rise would be enough to convince the Englishman to stay put. His price tag stands at around €30 million, and Barcelona, Real Madrid and Chelsea are the big guns with enough clout to pay such a sum. All three clubs are interested in the idea of enticing the English international away from Old Trafford.
