Carlo Ancelotti can boast of having won silverware with nearly all the teams that he has managed, with the exception of Reggiana, who he led up to the Serie A, and Parma.
The Italian's first experience at the helm of a club was with Reggiana, and even in those early days, it was clear that he would go on to do great things. He had to wait three years, however, before winning a title – with Juventus, winning the Intertoto Cup in 1999. Without doubt his most successful years were with Milan, whom he managed for eight seasons (2001-2009). There, Ancelotti won no fewer than eight titles. He won two Champions Leagues – the first in 2003 in Old Trafford, beating Juventus 3-2 on penalties.
Upon lifting this prized trophy, Ancelotti joined the select group of managers to have won the European Cup both as a player and as a manager. With him are such great names as Miguel Muñoz, Giovanni Trapattoni, Johan Cruyff, Frank Rijkaard and Pep Guardiola. He would win it again in 2007 (2-1 against Liverpool in Athens). But that isn't all. Apart from these two great trophies, he also won for the rossonero club a Serie A league championship, two European SuperCups, one Copa de Italia and a SuperCup. With Chelsea he won the Community Shield, the league and the F.A. Cup. The Italian tactician's last great victory has been winning the French Ligue 1 last season, with Paris-Saint Germain.
