The Genius vs The Magician

Andrés Iniesta is the icon of a generation that takes the challenge of beating Brazil in the Maracana stadium in its stride. The temple that Pelé always said was a part of his people will be the stage for the Spanish genius. Against him will be the magical Neymar, an already great magician at only 21, with all Brazil at his feet.

The figure of Iniesta is known the world over. In Brazil, land of football and all its magic, many children can be seen wearing his shirt. On the beach or in the streets, when they are asked who they want to be, many of these barefooted players answer "I want to be Iniesta". "It makes me really happy, it's great that a kid just starting out says that. It's just awesome for me", enthused Iniesta to MARCA.

It's not only the Brazilian kids that see Iniesta as a role-model, however. Many big names of the five-time World Champion, such as Roberto Rivelino (World Cup winner in 1970) feel that Andrés might very well be Spanish - but he has the soul of a Brazilian.

Among all the great talent currently brewing in Brazil's cauldrons today, Neymar Junior rises above the rest. And Andrés Iniesta will be sharing a dressing room with him in a few days at the Camp Nou: "He's a spectacular player, who will be great for us, and will help Barcelona to achieve great things."
