Andrés Iniesta: "Challenges don't come any bigger than this"

Speaking to Spanish radio station 'Cadena Cope', Andrés Iniesta sought to heap all the pressure on Brazil ahead of the Confederations Cup final, claiming that the 'Canarinha' is the favourite and that "challenges don't come any bigger than beating them on their turf".

"They're going to have who knows how many thousand people behind them. But we'll have to use that as an incentive", Iniesta continued.

The Barcelona wizard believes both sides will fancy their chances in the final. "Brazil is a great team with fantastic players and has had a superb tournament. But we also have a really good side that is capable of performing to an extremely high level, whoever plays, and we have no qualms about saying that we're going for the title", he noted.

The midfielder is particularly excited about the opportunity to get his hands on the Confederations Cup, one of the few pieces of silverware he has yet to lift: "It's a chance to round off this squad's collection of trophies".

As for Spain's fitness going into the final, having been taken to extra-time and then penalties in stifling conditions in the semi-finals, Iniesta is hopeful that 'La Roja' will recover from its exertions: "This is the last game and the team will try to give a hundred percent. We will draw on every last ounce of energy. It's an enormous challenge".
